More than 100 visitors made their way to Historic Linthicum Walks April 1st and 2nd for our Maryland Day Celebration! Reflecting this year's theme "Stories That Matter," textile artisans from around the state showed off their handmade clothing and wares.
Our high-school intern (pictured bottom left) modeled her hand-sewn 1700's style dress that is completely adjustable to fit women of varying sizes since clothing was passed down many times over.
Basket weaver Joan Betzold weaved her award-winning baskets using centuries-old techniques, fabricating her wares without nails, glue, staples or molds.
In addition to the textile collections on display, attendees toured the historic home and participated in a scavenger hunt on the green grounds around the house.
